Please join us for a special event to celebrate the success of a pioneering new study into the lives of people  aged 50 and over in Scotland. Professor David Bell, Principal Investigator, is excited to share the study’s initial findings. Topics covered will include:

  • HAGIS within the global network of longitudinal studies of ageing
  • Cognitive ageing: results from HAGIS
  • Administrative data linkages to the HAGIS survey: health and education
  • Financial literacy: how well do older Scots understand financial concepts?

Speakers include Jim Smith of the RAND Corporation, Ian Deary of the University of Edinburgh, David Bell of the University of Stirling and George Panos of the University of Glasgow.

We will be distributing the Pilot Report at the conference which will contain chapters relating to topics additional to those that appear on the main conference programme e.g. on informal care. The poster displays will also relate to topics other than those covered in the main conference programme.
